Senior IM Project Manager
You will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT/IM projects, utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies. You will manage the entire project lifecycle – from inception to completion – ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, project teams, and business owners to achieve desired outcomes and drive business value.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, plan, implement, and manage projects according to the agreed-upon project model, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Define project budgets, allocate resources, and develop comprehensive project plans and schedules
- Facilitate the identification of project benefits and assist in the preparation of business cases
- Oversee project scoping, goal-setting, issue management, and decision-making
- Manage project scope changes and communicate progress, risks, and solutions to the Project Steering Group
- Oversee the handover of projects to business and support services
- Ensure the realization of business benefits and achievement of KPI’s
- Provide leadership and development support to the project team, including guidance to Junior Project Managers
Skills and Experience
We expect from you, having the attitude of ’I am here to help you’ and being a very process driven person. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite. Readiness to bring the best practices and benchmarking opportunities from the industry to the business. As we are a dynamic organization we expect you to adapt and respond to change rapidly.
Skills and experience that would help you succeed in this role:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree with a business, IT or other related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management
- Experience working with complex projects in a global environment
- Experience in the professional use of project management techniques (waterfall and agile) and tools
- Experience in business stakeholder management
Meritorious:
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA
- Experience in the maritime or similar industry
